To Andalucia

To Andalucia

I was fortunate to be able to join the Chamber Choir and Orchestra on their recent trip to southern Spain. We flew into Malaga and were greeted with gloriously sunny weather which held throughout the next week. The boys sang Sunday Mass in Granada Cathedral quite superbly. The Cardinal Archbishop greeted them in English and provided an impressively concise summary of his sermon, also in English. Later that evening the Choir and Orchestra gave a wonderful concert in the Church of the Good Shepherd, just a few minutes walk from the Cathedral. Sadly I could not stay with them as they moved on to Seville, Cordoba and Cadiz because everywhere they had full houses and received standing ovations. The boys and their teachers thoroughly enjoyed their time in this beautiful and historically rich region of Spain. The repution of King's now stands high in Andalucia.
