41% of all King's Higher Level IB results were graded as 7s - the top result available to candidates. The 7 is equated to the new A* at A level and this result places King's College School amongst the very highest performing schools in the UK.
Whereas approximately 7% of A level and IB results were A* or 7s, KCS pupils have outperformed this average by almost 600%.
Our average point score of 39 will make us, as always, one of the top performing IB schools in the world. Some particularly impressive aspects of the results were:
Eleven pupils achieved the maximum score of 45 points, a score that was only achieved by eighty six students worldwide last year. This means that 35 of King's pupils have achieved the top score in the last three years alone.
Overall, pupils achieved 41% grade 7s and 84% 6 / 7 in their Higher Level subjects.
The results are a testament to all the hard work that the pupils have put in and they should be congratulated.
The Head Master, Mr Andrew Halls, commented "These outstanding results reflect very well on the pupils and their teachers. I am delighted for them."
