The Senior School academic programme aims to combine breadth of academic study with a co-curricular programme of exceptional range and diversity. In the Fourth Form (Year 9) pupils are offered the traditional range of academic subjects, but with substantial enrichment. All pupils study English, Mathematics, the three Sciences and French to GCSE or IGCSE. They choose their remaining subjects from a wide range of options within the humanities, languages, and creative/performing arts.
The co-curricular programme provides an exciting counterpoint to this academic programme. In addition to their games afternoon, all pupils participate in a programme of activities and sports on Friday afternoon.
The Middle School (Years 9-11) programme helps prepare pupils for studying the International Baccalaureate (IB) in the Sixth Form. The IB ensures that pupils further develop their core skills in English, mathematics, languages, and science, whilst allowing them also to pursue options in areas of strong personal interest. Its combination of depth and breadth makes it an ideal preparation both for university and working life.
From September 2013, pupils will be able to choose between A levels and the International Baccalaureate programme when joining the Sixth Form
